UTV Limit Strap Kits

That hard clunk at full droop is not your imagination and it is not harmless. When a shock tops out at the end of its extension, the internal components take the hit — and so do your CV axles, which are being asked to operate at an angle they were never designed for.

A limit strap catches the suspension just before it runs out of travel, so the strap absorbs the load instead of the shock. It is a cheap part that protects expensive ones.

This matters most on machines running aftermarket suspension or aggressive valving, where droop is often greater than stock. If you have had a Full Tune or you are running long travel, limit straps are not optional — they are what keeps the rest of the build alive.
